Covid-19 has caused disruption to our events programme over the previous year, meaning that we have temporary policies in place such as a full refund if self-isolating. An event may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Cancellation of a non-bookable event will be posted on the event page and on social media.
When a bookable event is cancelled, we will inform the individuals who have booked using the telephone number and /or email address supplied at the time of booking. If that event involved advance payment, that payment will be refunded.
At events where there is an external partner, we often need to have a minimum number of people booked on. A decision will be taken in advance of the event, and if the event will be cancelled payment will be returned in full to everyone booked on, often with alternative date options. Wild East Devon reserve the right to change events and/or content.
If participants cancel more than one week before the event, 50 per cent of their payment will be returned. If participants cancel less than one week before the event, no refund will be made. Wild East Devon reserve the right to alter to our policies.
It's not always possible to give advance warning when bird ringing events are cancelled, as this decision can be made at the very last minute to protect the welfare of the birds. View the latest events and cancellations on the Axe Estuary Ringing Group blog.
Children under 16 must be accompanied at all events (unless otherwise stated) by an adult, 18 or over.
For all outdoor activities wear suitable clothing for the weather and wellies or sturdy boots and bring waterproofs. Long trousers and wellies are advised for heathland events.
